MUSIC

I’ve been a working musician for over two decades now, playing and writing music in just about every setting you can imagine.
I play in a few different groups—some are proper “bands” and some more like musical collectives that form and transform depending on who’s around. That’s one of the great things about living in a city full of musicians: everyone plays with everyone.
Style-wise, I don’t stick to just a single category. Cajun and zydeco, Western swing, gypsy swing, honkytonk, jazz standards, my own originals…
If you’re looking for live music at your event—whether that’s a intimate jazz trio or a full dance band, feel free to reach out here and check out some of my projects below.
As a songwriter, I’ve had the honor of seeing my music recorded by artists like Linda Ronstadt and The Brother Brothers, as well as being featured on HBO’s Treme and Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. I’ve also written and arranged film scores, including composing the score for Virgile Beddok’s Settling St. Malo, and collaborating on music for T-Galop and King Crawfish, films by Conni Castille. I’ve even done a musical, co-writing the music and lyrics for the play Ms. Warbucks with my friend Johanna Divine.

The Revelers playing for dancers at Blackpot Festival. It’s hard to capture just how much fun this festival is, y’all, but Lavoi Creative is the best for a reason.
